Official Movie Review and Trailer: The Curse of Downers Grove (2015)

Everything in this movie seems so fake... When those teenagers actually do something that might be considered smart, they will eventually NOT benefit from it. When they do something incredibly stupid, they usually do not suffer any consequences. The entire story keeps dragging on like there are giant potholes to be filled. Even the opening credits are so stretched that I wonder: “What’s the point of watching this movie?”.

Most viewers would think this production can be classified as an average quality movie. You'd be unpleasantly off-base. Any of you who have perused any of my surveys know one of the first things I'll follow is a script- - or scarcity in that department. Whoever composed this more likely than not been doing Yeagerbombs AND bong hits on the grounds that after Chrissy gives her explanations behind not trusting in the condemnation, the motion picture gets to be one major old wreckage, e.g. there is an endeavored assault that (when reported) is totally disregarded by the police on the grounds that the culprit is apparently some football muscle head. Chrissy's sibling is assaulted by him and his goons and endures a broken hand at their doing. The police do nothing.

We should get the obvious stuff out of the way, there is scarcely any "condemnation" in this film. It just utilized as an affection to shoehorn script made of Facebook gooey jokes from a regular adolescent's page. The motion picture is shallow and scarcely introduces any rush by any stretch of the imagination, it just delivers unsurprising story with plenitude of flashy dialogs that just serve as dreary pondering.

The acting isn't really that terrible, however having seen many other flicks I can only be surprised on how they managed to play characters who's age is significantly different from the age of the actors themselves. I figure in the event that you don't have a clue about that however he may even escape with it. Whatever remains of the cast are additionally OK, there's very little to work with as the characters are slightly one dimensional, yet then in a motion picture like this present that is normal.

What annoyed me above all else is how unbelievably foolish the characters were: a young lady just about gets assaulted and she doesn't tell anybody? I would have instantly went to the cops, called a rescue vehicle or something. At that point once her sibling gets beaten, the cops can't do anything? There was an observer! That doesn't tally any longer? Staggeringly moronic activities by seriously composed characters.

There isn't much to say really, absolutely not having any convincing characters, stacked with undeveloped script writing, and horribly confusing elements in its plot, The Curse of Downers Grove's promise for long haul effect is the way that it highlights the name of an affectionate Illinois town. In any case, in light of the fact that it wasn't even shot in said town, and figures no association with the streets, the historic points, the general population, or the establishment of Downers Grove, that part additionally has an extremely remote possibility of making this out to be something besides a truly weak, unessential teenager thriller.
